Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
GlowPrice is a price comparison service for beauty products. This policy explains what data we process and why. It is written to be read, not to cover ourselves.
You can use it without an account
Scanning products and comparing prices doesn't require signing up. If you don't create an account, we don't keep any data that identifies you.
What we keep if you create an account
- Your email address, to identify you when you sign in.
- Your favourites and your price alerts, so they are on all your devices.
- Your scan history and the ingredients you have chosen to avoid, for the same reason.
The camera
The camera is used only to read the barcode. Reading happens on your own device: no image is stored and no photo leaves your phone. You can withdraw the permission in your phone's settings; the app keeps working with search by name.
Notifications
If you set a price alert, we keep an identifier for your device (a "push token") so we can notify you. That identifier doesn't say who you are or where you are. If you turn notifications off, it is no longer used.
How the app is used
We record, in aggregate, which products are viewed and which shop links are opened, to find out whether the comparison is useful and what is missing from the catalogue. That record is not linked to your identity if you are not signed in.
Affiliate links
When you open an offer we take you to the shop's website, sometimes through an affiliate link. If you buy there, GlowPrice receives a commission at no extra cost to you. This doesn't change the order of the ranking, which is always by price. Once you are on the shop's website, that shop's privacy policy applies, not ours.
In-app purchases
If you subscribe to GlowPrice Pro, payment is processed by Apple or Google: we never see or store your card details. To know whether your subscription is active we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), which receives from the store the status of the purchase and an anonymous app identifier or, if you are signed in, your GlowPrice account identifier. It doesn't receive your name or your email address.
Advertising
In the app: it may show Google AdMob ads. You will be asked for consent where the law requires it, and you can change your choice in Profile → "Ad privacy".
Measuring our ads on Meta
We advertise GlowPrice on Instagram and Facebook. To know which ad works, the versions of the app that include it contain Meta's software development kit (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.), which tells Meta that the app has been installed and opened, together with technical device data. We don't send it what you search for, what you scan or what you buy, and we don't use Facebook Login.
In the European Union and the United Kingdom it is only switched on if you accept Meta in the consent message shown when you open the app, where it is listed among our advertising partners, and you can change that at any time in Profile → "Ad privacy". Elsewhere it is on by default and can be switched off in Profile → "Meta ad measurement". On iPhone, the advertising identifier is only used if you have allowed the app to track; without it, Meta measures in aggregate through Apple's system (SKAdNetwork). Meta processes that data under its own privacy policy.
On this website: no advertising. We don't show ads on glowprice.app. If we ever do, you will first see a notice to choose, this policy will be updated to name the company serving them, and no advertising cookie will be set until you accept.
Cookies
This website doesn't use cookies. We set no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no statistics service is installed. The pages are static files and the search box queries our database without identifying you.
When you tap "See offer" you leave for the shop, sometimes through an affiliate network, and from then on the policies of that network and that shop apply, not ours.
Where the data is
The database is hosted by Supabase in the eu-west-3 region (Paris, European Union).
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data by writing to hola@glowprice.app. To delete your whole account, the instructions are on this page. You can also complain to the data protection authority: the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK, or the one in your country in the European Union.
Children
GlowPrice is not aimed at children under 14, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone in that age group.
